George G. Gillie, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Born on September 30, 1939, George lived a life defined by dedication, service, and quiet strength. He proudly served his country for over 28 years in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and honor. Through the years, he carried himself with humility and resilience, earning the respect of those who served alongside him.
Following his military career, George transitioned into the automotive industry, where he continued to demonstrate the same strong work ethic and reliability that had guided him throughout his life. Whether in uniform or in his everyday work, he was known as someone who could always be counted on.

He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery on a date to be announced.
