Judson Riddick of Virginia Beach

Judson Riddick (Weymouth Funeral Home & Crematory)

Judson Riddick passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Williamsburg Hospice House in Williamsburg, VA.

Judson was born in Norfolk County, Pleasant Grove District, now known as Virginia Beach, VA, in 1932. He was born into the union of Elias Riddick and Alberta Hill Riddick.

He retired from the U.S. Army after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He later purchased his own taxi and drove with Associated Cab out of Ft. Eustis at that time. He then went on to work at Bendix/Siemens, where he worked until his final retirement. After retiring, Judson remained active and continued to enjoy his time outdoors.

He found great joy in yard work, fishing, hunting, and taking walks. He also loved cooking-according to him, “the cook never starves”. He was blessed with an extended, caring neighborhood family whose companionship and support meant so much to him, it enriched his life beyond measure. He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gertie; his parents, Elias and Alberta; his brothers, Luther Riddick, Vernon Riddick, and Augustus Riddick.

He is survived by his children, Ernest McClee (Paula), Yolanda Fuller (Tyrone), Dana Fernandez (Eddie); his grandchildren, Alexander Fentress (Latrese), Shanita McClee, Tremayne McClee (Tracey), Bernard Webb, Rasheda McClee, Corey McClee, Lanise Jackson, Venika Ridley, Tyrone Fuller, Jr., Aiden Fernandez, and Thelonious Fernandez and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would especially like to thank the staff at Riverside Regional Hospital and Williamsburg Hospice House for their love and care of our father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
