Patricia A. (Driscoll) Thompson, 93, died peacefully in Williamsburg, VA on March 1, 2026, surrounded by family. Patricia relocated to Williamsburg in 2025 from Vero Beach, Florida, where she had resided for over 35 years. Patricia was born and raised in South Weymouth, MA, on March 1, 1933.
After graduation from Weymouth High School, Patricia worked at the historic Mount Washington Hotel in NH before attending the Chandler School in Boston, MA. Patricia then worked for an insurance company in downtown Boston until she was presented with an exciting opportunity to join Eastern Airlines as a flight attendant. She accepted and immediately began the required comprehensive training and found herself based out of Miami, FL, living in house with three other flight attendants that would become life-long friends!
After one fateful flight, Patricia was met by a handsome passenger she recognized from the flight who asked if she’d join him for a cup of coffee. The handsome gentleman was a young golf professional named Jack Thompson. She accepted his invitation and they were married a few months later. Patricia and Jack Thompson were married for 45 years and had 3 wonderful children.
In the ensuing years, Patricia volunteered at her children’s schools, supported the Broward County Junior Golf Association for 14 years, was a long standing member of the International Silverline’s Flight Attendant Organization, co-owned and operated a 27 hole golf course, and was a well-respected realtor in Vero Beach, FL.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Nancy Norton and Susan Servin; and her four beautiful grandchildren, Madison, Clay, Jack, and Brady Servin. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William J. (Jack) Thompson; and her son, William J. (Bill) Thompson, Jr. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to one of your most respected veteran organizations. Pray for peace and pray for our country.
