With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Linwood Hayden Sr. on October 11, 2025, at the age of 77.
A devoted father, grandfather, and man of quiet strength, Linwood lived a life rooted in hard work, discipline, and unwavering love for his family.
Born on September 14, 1948, Linwood was a provider and role model who raised six children—Russel Jr., Tommy (deceased), Danielle, Chasity, Zachary, and Candyce (deceased)—with firm guidance and enduring care. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, sister, daughter Candyce, and son Tommy.
He is survived by his four children, brother Charles (AnnMarie), four grandchildren—Christian, Skylar, Zayvion, and Zariah—who lovingly called him PopPop, Linwood was their gentle giant, always ready with stories, advice, and joy for life’s simple pleasures like country music and NASCAR.
Respected and loved by all who knew him, Linwood leaves behind a legacy of integrity, resilience, and love that will live on in the hearts of his family.
May he rest in peace, forever remembered and deeply missed.
