Stanley Copling, born on February 27, 1957 in Camden, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025 in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 68.

Stanley was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent many years working in maintenance at Food Lion. His commitment to his work was matched only by his passion for his hobbies. Stanley was an avid chess player, enjoyed spending time on the golf course, and was a devoted sports enthusiast, often found watching games with great interest.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles and Anne Copling, and his brothers, Stephen and Larry Copling.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Robin Copling, who stood by his side through life’s journey. He leaves behind two cherished daughters, Kimberly Corbitt (Devin) and Gwendolyn Thorpe (Shawn), as well as two step-sons, Broheim Jackson and Derrick Martineau “Poppy.” Stanley’s legacy continues through his 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 10 siblings, who will remember him fondly.

Stanley’s warmth, humor, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
