Ann Savage Totten (Weymouth Funeral Home & Crematory)

Ann Savage Totten, 81, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, in Newport News, Virginia.

Ann graduated from Hampton High School in 1961. She worked in Department 058 as a Materials Support Personnel for Newport News Shipbuilding, reviewing test reports for ship inspectors. She retired in 2009 and was recognized as a Master Shipbuilder for her forty-five years of service.

Ann was a lifelong member of Orcutt Baptist Church and was known for her loving and caring nature, particularly towards her friends. She brought words of faith and encouragement to those around her.

Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, James S. Totten; her mother, Isabelle Little Savage and her father, Earnest Savage. She is survived by her cousins, Glenn Oder (Mary), Linda Oder Greaver (Larry) and Tom Oder (Susan). Glenn and Mary’s children and grandchildren brought Ann much joy as she loved seeing them and hearing about their activities.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Weymouth Funeral Home with Pastor Garrett R. Spitz of Peninsula Community Chapel presiding. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Ann’s caregivers at The Chesapeake and to longtime friend, Olivia Perrin.
