Ann Sibley Barney Johnson, 90, passed away on January 3, 2025 at The Huntington in Newport News, VA.
She was born at Riverside Hospital in Newport News and was the daughter of Hugh Sanders Barney and Mary Marguerite Sibley Barney. Ann graduated from Warwick High School and attended The College of William and Mary.
She loved her dogs, walks on the beach and her amazing garden.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved aunt and uncle, Scoop and Evelyn Sibley; her former husband, Charles Ray Johnson and her grandson, Levi Grant Scott.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Dale Scott (Larkin) of Charles City and two sons, David Johnson (Joyce) of New Hampshire, and Doug Johnson (Tammy) of Florida; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and her special neighbor, Ed Fiscella.
As per Ann’s wishes, there will be no formal services.
