Valerie L. Dugan, born in 1945 in San Francisco, California, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
As a young girl, Valerie found joy in ballet, a passion she carried throughout her life. Her love for classical music was a constant source of comfort and inspiration. Valerie graduated Old Dominion University and worked as a Dental Hygienist in Hampton Roads for decades. She attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Portsmouth for over twenty years and was an proud devoted mother to her only son, Sean Dugan, the light of her life.
Valerie will be laid to rest in Easton, Pennsylvania, next to her beloved mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her sister Karen D. Parker and their parents, Lyle W. Lemos and Lillian Lemos. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Sean, her youngest sister, Suzanne Henson, nieces, Diane Meehl, Heather Henson, Dana Gaehring and nephew Steven Parker, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
A visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5503 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach, the date and time will be announced shortly. Valerie’s grace, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
