Joseph Edward Driscoll Jr. of Chesapeake passed peacefully in his sleep on August 15, 2024. Born March 2, 1945, in Springfield, MA, he was the second of three children to Eleanor and Joseph Driscoll.
Joe was many things in his life: a Navy helicopter pilot, a chef and restauranteur, a son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
He loved cooking, carpentry, decoy ducks, and cigars. He was a voracious reader who loved to give his daughters a hard time and endlessly spoiled his grandkids.
Joe was quirky, kind, and sometimes cranky, but we loved him dearly, and we’ll miss him always.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. We love you, Dad.
