Lindsey Yurin Frazier, 72, of Norfolk

Lindsey Yurdin Frazier peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday, August 12, 2024. He was born on January 8, 1952, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Burnhardt and Virginia Frazier.

Lindsey attended Norfolk Public Schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1969, after which he enlisted in the United States Army, serving in transportation while stationed in Stuttgart, Germany.

In the mid-seventies, Lindsey moved to San Francisco, California, joining his brother, Romeo Frazier. There, he met his wife, Linda Forde, with whom he shared a partnership of more than 40 years. Lindsey retired from Radio Shack as a top salesman and returned home in 2016, settling in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Lindsey was a mechanical and technology enthusiast. He had a special affection for cars. After retiring, Lindsey enjoyed taking on home improvement projects and serving on a governing committee in his neighborhood subdivision. Lindsey also enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with family and friends. His energy and zeal for life were infectious.

He was predeceased in death by his brother, Darryl F. Frazier. Left to carry on his legacy are his loving and devoted wife Linda Forde; son Lindsey Hammonds; grandsons, Darian Adams and Donovan Hammonds, all of Virginia Beach, Virginia; he also leaves to cherish his memory three beloved brothers, Burnhardt A. Frazier of Norfolk, VA, Romeo M. Frazier (Barbara) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Mitchell D. Frazier, Esq. (Janice) of Virginia Beach, VA; in addition to a beloved sister-in-law Bonita Frazier of Newport News, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate Lindsey’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024, in Williamsburg Community Chapel. Interment with military honors to follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Frazier may be viewed in the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
