Clarence Leroy Harris, Jr., 84, of Newport News, VA, passed away on August 12, 2024.
He was born in 1940 in Clarksville, VA, to the late Leroy and Leona Harris. Clarence served in the U.S. Navy before taking a job at the Newport News Shipyard, where he worked until his retirement in the late 1990s.
Clarence is survived by his four children, Dwayne Harris (Teresa), Julie Garrison, Elizabeth Karr (Marty), and Jennifer Mann (Jeff); six grandchildren, Brittney Hamilton (John), Zachery Mann, Gavin Mann, Brayden Karr, Ella Mann, and Ava Mann; four great-grandchildren, Skyler, Emma, Abigail, and Landon and his sister, Carolyn Elliot (John).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Harris; two sisters, Shirley and Martha Lee and granddaughter, Cassandra Garrison.
