Mary “Josephine” Hazelwood Fary, 84, of Lanexa passed away August 6, 2024.
Josephine was a faithful fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved to watch NASCAR racing, QVC and Shopping Network. She was talented in the kitchen, always baking treats for loved ones, and she spent many years serving customers at Marie’s Restaurant in West Point.
Josephine was preceded in death by two sons, Kenny and Tony Hazelwood; her two husbands, Richard Hazelwood and Walter Lee Fary; and grandson, Richard Earl Boykin. She is survived by her children, Kathy Anderson (Tony), Will Adams (Evelyn) and Robin Sears (Ricky); two siblings, Margaret Dixon and Russell Branch; granddaughters, Rebecca Anderton and Jessica Adams; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Averey, Tanner and Brantley; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, August 11 at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA 23181. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, August 12 at Liberty Baptist Church, 15810 Liberty Church Rd., Lanexa, VA 23089. Interment will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
