Veronica, our smiling, laughing, bouncing red-head, left us on this earthly plane for the glory of Heaven, on July 30, 2024. Veronica Louise Voegler, nee Lyons, born May 16, 1953, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Veronica was always the hostess with the most-ess. Family gatherings were at the top of her list. Having the family at her and Jim’s home always made her happy. Boisterous laughs, Tripoli games, good food, pictures, and memories were abound at the Voegler’s.
Veronica was met at the gates by her huge loving family and many friends. Veronica was one of 12 Lyons cubs and is preceded in death by her parents Myles Joseph Lyons and Mary Dolores Clinch, sisters Kathleen Guthrie and Dolores Cervi Deamer, her brother Thomas Lyons Sr., and her stepson Craig Voegler. She leaves behind her husband and best friend, James F. Voegler; her sisters: Martha Hensley; Cristine Drolet; Betty Westerbeck; Ellie MacTavish (Neil); Lyn Robbins; Colleen Bucklin (Bryan); Laurie Lyons; and Myles Lyons Jr (Evelyn).; a plethora of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, as well as good friends.
Veronica loved the hymn/song, Amazing Grace:
“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound! That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found; was blind, but now I see.
This earth shall soon dissolve like snow. The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below, will be forever mine.”
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, please have mass cards completed in honor of Veronica and sent to James Voelger.
