Frederick Eugene Blough, 84, of Williamsburg, Virginia, died on Sunday July 28, 2024, at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.
He was born July 15, 1940, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to parents Harold Eugene Blough and Leona Catherine Brown.
After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, AZ. He spent most of his career with IBM, retiring after 27 years of service as International Program Manager for IBM World Trade. After retirement, he served on the Board of Directors for 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union in Newport News, VA.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie Blough; his son, Gregory (Greg) Blough, and wife Kim and grandsons Ryan and Leo of Potomac Falls, VA; his daughter, Michelle Hutton, and husband Mike and grandchildren Alexander and Katherine of Purcellville, VA; his brother, Doug and wife Mary Ann Blough of Davidsville, PA; his brother, Jeff and wife Suzanne Blough of Davidsville, PA; his sister, Shelva and husband Todd Shaffer of York Springs, PA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Mounts Bay Recreation Center at Kingsmill, 101 Tutters Neck, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
