Frank Benjamin Fiscella, 63, died on Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Newport News, VA, surrounded by his family. Frank was born in Newport News to Florence and Benjamin Fiscella.
Anyone that knew Frank knew that he was a big-hearted and hard-working person. He was a patient friend and tolerant boss in decades of managing his company, Fiscella Painting. Frank brought people together to get work done. He painted countless walls and homes in the local area that endure with a practical beauty that epitomizes his spirit.
Frank’s family knew him to be quietly courageous and dedicated to the people he loved. They knew him to be non-conformist and playful. Frank reminded his children often “never sweat the small stuff” and most importantly, “it’s all small stuff.” He really lived that way.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Fiscella; his father, Benjamin Fiscella and his mother, Florence Fiscella. He is survived by his life partner, Delores; his son, Thomas; his daughters, Kimberly and Blythe; his siblings: Caryn, Kevin, Glenn, Paul, Lynne, George, Edward, Anthony, and Tristana as well as many beloved nieces and nephews: Nicole, Adriana, Sofia, Luanda, Julia, Noah, Chaz, Ben, Zenna, Orion, Kasper, Maia, Mason, Miles, Alana, and Nova.
A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024 at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 230 33rd St., Newport News, VA 23607. A reception will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Deep Creek Landing Marina, 200 Old Marina Lane, Newport News, VA 23602.
