Gloria Anne Parker, 83, of Virginia Beach

Gloria Anne Parker, born on May 11, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, where she lived until relocating to Virginia Beach in 2017. Gloria lived a vibrant life full of laughter and joy surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Gloria brought light and joy to all those around her. Her work ethic shone brightly during her tenure at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, where she dedicated over 30 years as a meticulous check processor.

Gloria had a fun sense of humor and love for life’s little pleasures, effortless wit, and insightful nature that endeared her to many. She found great pleasure in exploring new restaurants, going to movies, and getting lost in the pages of a good book. She also enjoyed solving puzzles, and playing puzzle games.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Ruby Fischer, brother Joseph, and great-grandson Oliver Hirose. Gloria leaves behind a legacy of love and happiness in her devoted children: Kathi Parker-White & husband John White, Diana Parker & partner Jeff, Steven Parker & wife Kelli. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren Craig Dingley, Michael Grippo II, Erin Hirose, Anthony Grippo, Nathaniel Parker, Kiya (Parker) Brody, Jared Freemon, Lauren Freemon Besch, and Levi Parker, her siblings Alfred (Bud), Bruce, Margaret, Carol, Mark and Mary.

Gloria’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May we always remember her infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering love.
