David V. Minor passed away on November 11, 2023 in Va Beach at the age of 77.
David was born in Shropshire, England to Hilda and Clarence Minor on September 22, 1946. He moved to America with his family at the age of 16. He joined the Marines during the Vietnam war. He served this country proudly. He was a hero to his son, Derek Minor, and to all of his family.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, hiking, traveling, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his son, and only child, Derek, daughter-in-law, Farrah; 4 grandchildren (Dylan, Katelyn, Gavin and Evelyn), two sisters, Glenys and Catherine, and many wonderful nieces, nephews and their families.
There are too many friends and loved ones to name specifically, but our family sincerely appreciates everyone who has had a meaningful impact on David’s life.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Dr. Va Beach with a service to follow.
