On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Isrel Sherrod Marrow transitioned from this life into the eternal presence of our Lord. His life began on January 13, 1986.
At an early age, Isrel accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. During his religious journey, he joined hands in fellowship with Zion Baptist Church.
Isrel was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public School System.
Isrel’s passion for life was cooking, playing cards, and hanging with his friends. He loved making everyone laugh and smile with his contagious smile. We are so thankful to God for his life, and we find comfort in knowing he is now resting in the arms of Christ.
Isrel is preceded in death by his mother Karen A. Brown; father, Vernon Coleman and Isaiah Samuels who was like a father figure to him; sister, Lakeyia Marrow; grandparents Plato and Mary Marrow Jr; uncles, Darel George and Plato Marrow, III.
To cherish his loving memory, he leaves his children, Zyanna, Reminisce, Julianna, Canaya, and Ezra; siblings, Paris Tyler and Britain Brown; aunts and uncles, Portia Marrow, Ibrahim Abdul Malik (Mumtahanah), Vona Lowden (Ricky), Valarie Matthews (Morris), and Keith Marrow (Letha); devoted nieces, LaParis, Aaliyah, and Charlie; nephews, Omari and Jayce; special cousin, Brittany Marrow and Shameka Lewis; devoted friend, Penny Glover; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Bethel Restoration Center. Mr. Marrow may be viewed on Saturday beginning at noon until the hour of his service in the church.
