Our mother, Margo Lucielle Henning of Williamsburg, VA peacefully passed on August 15, 2023, after living a life of love, laughter and caring for others. Born April 27, 1955, in Camp Lejune, NC she resided in Williamsburg for most of her life.
Margo had many titles throughout her life, accountant, Bus Aide for James City County Schools, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Caretaker for her grandmother, mother, and many others within the community. However, the title she loved the most was Mom and Meme.
The Sun, Sand and Water were what Margo enjoyed the most. Those who knew her, knew her love of the Outer Banks and that there was her favorite place to be. Many often joked with her that she truly was part mermaid.
Margo is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mabel Woodard, mother, Margaret Mason and her brother, John Henning. Surviving members of her family include her daughter Heather McKown-McClarrie (Randy), son Christopher McKown, son Nicholas McKown, daughter Brittany Jackson (Zach) and her daughter Aubrey Warburton. Four grandchildren, April, Shayne, Grayson and Prim, we can’t forget her “fur” granddogs that she loved as well, Cocky, Jaxson, Bella, Elle, Freya and Cooper. Margo is also survived by her brother Clifton (Kathy), sister Theresa (Gary), brother Michael (Yong) along with many nieces and nephews.
Our family extends our deepest gratitude to Affinity Care of Newport News. Specifically, Sheila, Becky and Nakole. Also, to our brother Christopher who was by her side daily, taking care of her needs, comforting and taking care of her.
