Delia Almonte, 84 passed away May 23, 2023 in Virginia Beach. She was born December 1,1938, in Santurce, Puerto Rico to the late Eladio Sabat and Epifania Perez. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her son; José Ernesto Pagán and brother Hector Sabat.
She is survived by her children; Magda Pagán-Jones (Kenneth), of Suffolk, VA stepdaughter Andres Almonte of New York, NY, grandchildren, Madelynn Velázquez of Suffolk, VA, Desiree Velázquez of Portsmouth, VA, Stephen Anthony Pagán, (Tonya) of Oklahoma. Great grandchildren, Mario Artis, Ledgen Watson, Jeremiah Artis, Julius Watson, Belise Watson, Kasen Bowe, Rafael Almonte and Victoria Almonte. Sisters, Olga Verne of Springfield, MA, Gladys Marrero of New York, NY. And a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service wil be held on Sunday at 1:00pm followed by a repass at Altmeyer Funeral Homes-Chesapeake Chapel, Chesapeake, Va 23322. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
