Timothy Wayne Blanchard, 56, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. He had a passion for sharing Jesus with anyone and everyone he came across. Through his ministry, Grace Fellowship, Timmy frequently opened his home for Bible studies and get-togethers. He will be remembered for his sweet smile and loving personality.
Timmy was a native of Newport News, VA, where he resided most of his life. He was a graduate of Warwick High School and a member of Liberty Live Church for over 35 years. Timmy worked for Newport News Shipbuilding, Riverside Hospital, Chick-fil-A, and spent 15 years with Walmart.
Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund E. Blanchard, Sr. and Barbara Jane Tracy. He is survived by his two brothers, Edmund E. Blanchard, Jr. and wife, Marcy, of Newport News, VA and Joseph D. Blanchard and wife, Donna, of Williamsburg, VA; his nieces and nephews, Megan Blanchard of Forest, VA, Andrew Blanchard of Yorktown, VA and fiancé, Nikki Beck, of Virginia Beach, VA, Esi Blanchard of Williamsburg, VA, and Jessica Vernon of Murphy, NC and great-niece, Eliana Hayes of Murphy, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Weymouth Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted immediately after at 2:00 pm. at the funeral home with Reverend Mack Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
Timmy spent years attending the Men’s Prayer Breakfast on Thursday mornings and would sit with the founder of ICM, Dois Rosser. Over the years, he developed a love for ICM’s Global Church Development Ministry. We have identified an ICM church project in India that is approximately $1,900 short of being fully funded. In lieu of flowers, Timmy’s desire would be to have this congregation’s church fully funded. Information will be available at the service, online (icm.org), or mail your donation to ICM, 1901 N.
