Joel passed away after an ongoing illness.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Burrell and father, Charles Holmes. Joel’s final wish was to be cremated and have his remains placed with his dearly departed son, Kobe Burrell.
He leaves behind 4 beautiful daughters; Sierra Waller, Courtney Burrell, Chelsea Burrell, a little princess Mariah Burrell and 5 wonderful grandchildren.
Joel was a star athlete at King William High School. His favorite thing was watching sports. He loved Kobe Bryant, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Nascar. Everyone knew he was an avid Prince fan. Joel’s sense of humor, laughter and pranks will be greatly missed by many.
Rest easy Joel, we will never forget you!
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2023 in Sunny Slope Cemetery; 2440 King William Ave., West Point, Va.
