Loretta Jane Sobczynski, 85, of Virginia Beach, VA passed away on April 3, 2023 surrounded by those closest to her heart.
Loretta was born on October 28, 1937 to Albert and Jennie Josephson in Williamsburg, New York
She moved to Norfolk, VA in 1947.
Loretta was a graduate of Maury High School.
In 1957, she married Marc G. Gross and had three children: Rochelle, Richard and Michael.
While married they owned two restaurants in Norfolk, VA where she was had some of the best times of her life.
Later in life she met and married Joseph Sobczynski and worked in women’s retail fashion and bridal for many years.
She had a love for all things fashion, jewelry, Broadway and musicals. She always said nothing is more important than family and she loved hers with intense passion.
Loretta was preceded by her parent’s Albert and Jennie Josephson, her former husbands Marc G. Gross and Joseph Sobczysnki.
She is survived by her daughter and best friend Rochelle Cubitt (her husband Dennis), her son Richard Gross (wife Beth of blessed memory) and Michael Gross, ger brother Barry Josephson, her grandchildren Geoffrey, Brandon, Madysen, Jordan and Devin and great grandchildren Dylan and Maya.
