Deshaun Alexander Ramone Harris, 34, of Norfolk

Deshaun Alexander Ramone Harris (Altmeyer Funeral Home)

Deshaun Alexander Ramone Harris was born on a sunny Tuesday June 14, 1988, in Seattle, WA to Lisa Michele Whitaker and Shaun Ansar Harris. He departed this life unexpectedly Sunday, February 26, 2023 in Norfolk, VA. He was a healthy and energetic child enjoying the adventures of childhood. From Daycare to Head Start, to kindergarten, to elementary school, Deshaun thrived in many subjects. Deshaun attended Saint Edward Catholic school before matriculating to Seattle Public Schools. He had a great fondness for football and basketball and played those sports to the best of his ability.

Deshaun enjoyed riding his bicycle and took several trips across I-90 bridge without permission, of course. Deshaun was introduced to the love of God by going to church and participating in Sunday School and youth services. He really loved to play the drums and he got his first drum-set at three years old. Any opportunity available he would eagerly play the drums for church service, always giving his all.

Every moment in one’s life is not always sunshine, Deshaun experienced many ups and several downs, but worked hard to overcome those challenging times. One of Deshaun’s brightest moments in life was the birth of his children, whom he loved dearly. He received his GED through Seattle Public School System and attended South Seattle Community College receiving a certificate in Welding and for a brief time worked at Norfolk Docks.

Deshaun was an outgoing person who rarely met a stranger. He would engage you in long conversations about many different topics. Often leaving in you in awe about the information he knew.

Deshaun was preceded in death by his father Shaun Ansar Harris, daughters Junae and Da’Myah Harris, grandfather Ansar Jonny Harris. He leaves to mourn sons, Deshaun Jr, Dayzhaun; daughter D’Aryona; mother Lisa M.
