It is with much sadness to share the loss of my wonderful, dear dad, Daniel T. Hall, age 75, on August 16, 2022. It is always hard to conceive how life can change in the blink of an eye. Dad has always been a fighter and endured many major health challenges over the years, always bouncing back with an energy, often times, incomprehensible. The years seem to catch up though and the body becomes more tired, not able to endure what it used to. God, we are so thankful you gave us the gift of time to spend the last weeks of dad’s earthly journey by his bedside, reminiscing and laughing over times shared and life’s experiences.

Dad was born in Newport News, Virginia to the late Carlton T. Hall and Gladys E. Singleton (Hall).  He was also predeceased by his sister, Margaret Pagen and brother, Carlton (Judith) T. Hall, Jr. He was survived by his former wife and friend, Barbara J. Hall, who passed on November 3, 2022. He is survived by his daughter, Tracy R. Hall; his brother, Edsel “Red” (Judith) Hall; his sister, Sherry Lynn Hall Beardslee; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

Commemorative Reflections will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Central Baptist Church, 2739 Hampton Hwy, Yorktown, VA 23693. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the above address, with attention to the Missions Fund.

Our deepest appreciation to all our amazing family and friends for their abundant love and support over the years during dad’s health trials, especially the weeks prior to him joining the Lord in the Glorious Heavens above.

We are all connected, each one of us a gift to another. May we all always see the abundant blessings, the gifts of life, bestowed upon each of us every day by our Great Father in Heaven. The journey on earth will always come to an end, however, for those who believe, and trust will have eternal life. It is devastating to lose a loved one, even though with Relationship, we know we will join them once again. Over the course of the past months, a dear friend reminded me, “We love our loved ones, always remember though, He loves them more.” How awesome is a love like that! We miss you terribly dad, brother, sweet dear friend and one day, will rejoice with you alongside of precious Jesus in now, your Heavenly home.
