It is with great sadness to share the loss of my amazing, beautiful mom, Barbara J. Hall, age 76, on November 3, 2022. On this day as the nurse prepared everything to give mom (unknowingly) her last earthly bath, the scent of sweet coconut enveloped the room as the nurse tenderly set everything in place. Not long after, precious Jesus reached down and gently took mom’s hand, leading her to the most beautiful paradise ever, her Heavenly home, where she now dances free of pain with Jesus and her family and friends who traveled ahead. Approximately one week prior, mom expressed to others she wanted to see her daughter’s face before it was time to go. It was not till mom passed that the true meaning would come to light as she would see me all the time. God is so faithful and answered mom’s prayer as she looked me in the eyes one last time before joining hands with Jesus.

Mom was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania to the late Evelyn A. Snyder (Macalady) and Frank E. Macalady. She was also predeceased by her former husband and friend, Daniel T. Hall. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy R. Hall; her brother, Frank W. Macalady and his wife, Pam, and sweet cat, Sophie.

In memory of mom, Commemorative Reflections will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Central Baptist Church, 2739 Hampton Hwy, Yorktown, VA 23693. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the above address, with attention to the Missions Fund.

Mom was the strongest, most courageous lady I know. We deeply appreciate all the abundant love and support from our amazing family and friends during mom’s toughest fight of her life the past two years, especially the last earthly mile of her journey.  A special thank you also to our wonderful hospice and care team.

We are all connected, each one of us a gift to another. May we all always see the abundant blessings, the gifts of life, bestowed upon each of us every day by our Great Father in Heaven. The journey on earth will always come to an end, however, for those who believe and trust, will have eternal life. It is devastating to lose a loved one, even though with Relationship, we know we will join them once again. Over the course of the past months, a dear friend reminded me, “We love our loved ones, always remember though, He loves them more.” How awesome is a love like that! We miss you terribly mom, sister, sweet dear friend, and one day, will rejoice and dance with you in the most beautiful paradise ever.
