Frank C. Brown, 85, of Charles City VA, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022. He was the son of the late Roosevelt and Flossie Brown.
Frank grew up in Charles City County and graduated from Ruthville High School. He was a member of Little Elam Baptist Church for many years.
Frank was a farmer through and through. Ever since he was a young boy, he loved being outside tending to the land. He also loved animals and enjoyed going to the racetrack to watch the horses. If he wasn’t at the tracks, you could find him enjoying a round or two of bingo, at the hall. Later in life, Frank really enjoyed being around his family, especially his grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Sr. and Flossie Brown; the love of his life, Priscilla Vernice Brown; one daughter, Sheila Brown; five sisters, Harriet, Mamie, Rebecca, Alberta and Diane; six brothers, Howard, Roosevelt Jr., Robert, George, Llewellyn and Vernon, and one daughter in law, Patricia Ann Brown.
He is survived by his children, Alphonso Sr., Doretha, Joyce, Deborah and Anthony Sr.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one sister, Flossie Estelle Jones (Wilbert); three brothers, Christopher, Richard (Diane) and James (Mary) Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, VA. A viewing will be held from 10AM-12Noon Saturday, just prior to the service. Burial to follow services in the Little Elam Baptist Church Cemetery, Charles City, VA.
