George Richard Robinson, III., (32) was born on June 19, 1990 in Richmond, Virginia to the parents of George Richard Robinson, Jr., and Stacy McWhite Robinson in King and Queen County, Virginia. He departed this life on September 16, 2022.
Richard, known as “Little Richard,” joined the Union Hope Baptist Church, Center Cross, Virginia, at an early age. At his church he sang in the choir “The Angelic Austin Specials,” was a junior usher and an active participant in the activities of his church. He was a 2008 Graduate of King and Queen Central High School where he was a member of the JROTC and the football and track teams. Upon graduation he went to Job Corp in Colburn, Virginia. He was employed at CP&P, Ashland, Virginia, for five years and the Salia Company for the last five years until his untimely death. He enjoyed fishing, mud bogging and many sports, his favorite football team was the Saints.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, the late George Richard Robinson, Sr., and Maternal Grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Vernon McWhite of Johnsonville, South Carolina.
Richard leaves to cherish his memories a devoted Grandmother, Ruth Robinson of King and Queen Courthouse, VA; Father, George Richard Robinson, Jr., (Hattie) of King and Queen Courthouse, VA; Mother, Stacey Graham of Johnsonville, South Carolina; Godmother, Sheila Holmes of King and Queen Courthouse, VA; Sister, Rochelle Robinson (special nephew Bryson Robinson) of King and Queen Courthouse, VA; Devoted Aunt, JoAnne Dungee (Scott) of King William, VA; one Aunt, Stephanie Woodbury (Eddie Joe) of Norfolk, VA; two Uncles, Stanley McWhite (Cindy) of Pamlico, SC and Vernon McWhite of Johnsonville, SC; one Great-Aunt, Irma Ginger Weeden (Charles) of Walkerton, VA; one Great-Uncle, William S. Robinson (Linda) of Newtown, VA; two step-brothers and a host of cousins, relatives and friends and a special friend Gerald R. Muse, Sr.
A funeral service will be held 11AM Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Union Hope Baptist Church, 4573 Rock Springs Rd., Center Cross, VA 22437. A viewing will take place from 5PM-7PM Friday, September 30th at the church. Interment to follow services in the church cemetery.
