Ganesh D. Golikeri, 87, of Old Tappan, New Jersey passed away on June 6, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
Ganesh graduated from Wilson College with a scientific degree. He emigrated to New York from India in the early1960’s where he first worked as a typist at the United Nations. He continued his education at Brooklyn Polytechnic college and eventually found his permanent professional home at Unilever Research in Edgewater, New Jersey. Ganesh retired in 1996 from Unilever. He enjoyed spending time with his late wife Usha and his daughters, Sumitra and Sarita and his large group of friends.
Ganesh was a kind gentle soul with a sharp wit and an infectious laugh. He had a unique ability to make even a stranger feel like a close friend. His kind heart and sense of humor made him the life of any party. His sharp memory for obscure facts made him a walking encyclopedia. He will be remembered for his utter pride and joy in his daughters and grandchildren.
Ganesh is survived by his daughters, Sarita Subramaniam and Sumitra Golikeri. He is also survived by his sons-in-law Vijay Subramaniam and Beevash Ray. Ganesh also leaves behind his doting grandchildren Prema and Priya Subramaniam and Naren and Naya Ray.
