Herman Randolph Akrie Jr., 67, of Providence Forge

Herman Randolph Akrie Jr. commonly known as “Randy” to loved ones, returned to The Creator on May 10, 2022. Randy was born in Richmond VA, to Herman R. Akrie Sr. and Madeline M. Akrie, who preceded him in passing. Randy accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (Windsor Shades) Providence Forge VA.

He was raised in New Kent County and graduated from New Kent High School, class of 1973. Randy was quite the ladies man and loved classic Hot Rod Cars, along with his love of reading and unique taste in music; he also loved Sci-fi, old westerns and horror movies and television shows. He and Herman Sr. often reminded his niece and great-nieces of the characters Fred and Lamont Sanford from the T.V Show “Sanford and Son”, which was one of their favorite shows to watch.

Randy leaves to cherish many loving memories, One devoted sister Debra (Lynn) Akrie, One devoted niece Stacey Akrie (HIS FAVORITE) and two loving and devoted great-nieces Kuhlyeia (Bird) Akrie and Amani (Nuna) Akrie all of Richmond, VA. As well as Three Aunts, and a host of Family and Friends.

A funeral service will be held 11AM Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, VA. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to services. Burial to follow in the Washington Memorial Park Cemetery.
