Ofelia Solis Rios, 77, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2017. The Dallas Cowboys lost their biggest fan when she passed.
Born in Mercedes, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Arturo and Luisa Solis. She was the rock of the family and loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and her dog, Romo. She enjoyed traveling the world with Wally.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Guadalupe “Wally” Rios; two daughters, M’Lissa Y. Routten (Tommy) and Marla R. Hall; grandchildren, L. Ashley, Cody, Sydney and Jackson; great-grandchildren, Ariel, Camden and Mason; brothers, Guadalupe, Alejandro and Armando; and sister, Mary Lou.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, at St. Matthew Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sentara Hospice House.
