Raymond E. Doyle Sr., 90, former coach who had a passion for youth sports

Raymond E. Doyle Sr., 90, of Virginia Beach, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Rochester, Pa., to the late Maurice and Hazel (Douds).

Mr. Doyle retired after 40 years from the Westinghouse Corporation Beaver plant, where he worked as the industrial breaker panel production line supervisor. A man of the community, he was a member of the Rochester Township Fire Department, serving as the department chief and a member of Beaver County Fire Prevention Board. He also had a passion for youth sports and spent many years coaching the Rochester Pee Wee football teams.

He leaves his beloved wife of 71 years Rosemary; daughters, Rosemary Hockenbery, and her husband, Richard, of Muskegon, Mich., and Raeann Burg, and her husband, Charles, of Beaver, Pa.; sons, Raymond, and his wife, Maria, of Chesapeake, and Joseph, and his wife, Debra, of Virginia Beach; and 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

As per his wishes, there will be no viewing or services.
