Richard Lee Munden, 70, left with the angels Tuesday, March 15, 2016. He was born at DePaul Hospital on January 10, 1946, to Phyllis and Cameron Munden.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. Mr. Munden owned and operated Sewing Machine Sales & Service in Norfolk, providing repair services and sharing stories of Princess Anne County and Pungo with customers and friends for many years.
He lived life on his own terms. He frequently stated he would be ‘survived by wife,’ Empsy Marshal Williams Munden. They met on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk in 1965 and eventually married in 1980. Many will miss Richard’s humor and generosity and being the best of all of us.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Nimmo UMC Cemetery.
