Miller Benson Mears Sr., 80, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of the late Arthur and Charlotte Mears. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy E. Mears.
He was a retired captain with City of Norfolk Fire Department.
Left to cherish his memory are Miller B. Mears Jr. and his wife, Tamara; granddaughter, Mackenzie Veirs; sister, Barbara Ann Brantley, and her husband, Howard, all of Virginia Beach; and his lifelong best friend, Chester Tebo.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Local 68 Norfolk Fire Retiree Assistance Program through the Norfolk Fire Department Credit Union.
