John Talnagi, 74, of Williamsburg, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Talnagi and Sophie Notaro.
John is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 54 years, Patricia Currie-Talnagi; son, John Talnagi; daughters, Janet Willis (Robert), Jill Ulozas (Bret); brother, Edward Talnagi; 8 granddaughters; two grandsons; one great-grandson; and many other family members and friends.
John retired from Garden State parkway as a Toll Plaza Supervisor and was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church. John served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Guantanamo Bay Cuban Missile Crisis and served as a lance corporal from 1959-1963. He received the sharp shooter medal and the good conduct medal.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Rd. Williamsburg, VA 23188.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd. Williamsburg, VA 23188.
Interment will be in the St. Bede Columbarium at a later date.
