WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary head women’s tennis coach Jessica Giuggioli announced the addition of transfer Sia Chaudry to the Tribe roster for the 2024-25 season. Chaudry, who will be a junior with two years of eligibility remaining, comes to the Green and Gold as a two-time All-Patriot League selection at Navy.

“We’re very excited to have Sia join our team in the fall,” Giuggioli said. “She is a tough player on court, and we look forward to having her compete for the Tribe.”

Over her two seasons with the Mids, Chaudry amassed a 48-21 singles record and a 33-26 doubles mark. She was named to the All-Patriot League second team in both 2023 and 2024.

Last season, Chaudry helped lead Navy to the program’s first Patriot League Championship and a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Mids finished the season at 24-7. Chaudry earned Patriot League Doubles Team of the Year honors with Samantha Johns, going 15-11 as a pair and 10-6 at the top spot.

In singles, Chaudry went 24-10, including a 14-5 dual-match mark at the top three positions, in 2024. She won 12 of her first 14 singles matches during the spring season and capped the year by winning at the No. 3 position in the 4-3 Patriot League Semifinal win over Army and 4-3 comeback championship match victory over Boston University. Her 24 singles wins each of her two seasons in Annapolis rank sixth in school history. She was 29-11 in dual-match play at the top three positions in her two years as well.

The Midlothian, Va., native was a regional champion and state finalist in singles as a senior at Clover Hill. Chaudry was rated a five-star recruit by TennisRecruiting.net and ranked as the No. 1 recruit in Virginia for the class of 2022. She also ranked among the Top 50 in the nation in the USTA 18-and-under rankings.

Chaudry joins incoming freshman Mira Kernagis (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West), who signed a NLI with the Tribe in November, as members of W&M’s incoming class. One of the top players in the state of Illinois, Kernagis is a five-star recruit according to the Tennis Recruiting Network and ranked No. 52 nationally.

Under Giugioli, W&M is 46-21 over the last three seasons and has won three-straight CAA Championships. Last season, the Tribe tied a school record with 14-straight wins on the way to posting an 18-6 record. All-time, W&M has won 29 CAA Championships and advanced to the NCAA Tournament on 26 occasions, which ranks 19th in the country.
