WILLIAMSBURG — For the third straight week, William & Mary men’s tennis appeared in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Team Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point.

The Tribe came in at No. 74 in the national rankings on Tuesday. Last week, W&M was ranked No. 65 in the country.

W&M suffered a pair of losses last week, both to teams currently in the national top-75. The Green and Gold fell at No. 23 Princeton, 6-1, before dropping a 4-3 nail-biter to current No. 70 Monmouth.

The Tribe sits at 5-6 on the year, playing a challenging schedule with eight of its 11 contests coming against teams currently in the national rankings. Along with Princeton and Monmouth, W&M has played No. 36 Florida Atlantic, No. 40 Delaware, No. 42 Old Dominion, No. 55 Yale and two matches against No. 73 Dartmouth.

W&M hosts a pair of matches this weekend at the Mackesy Tennis Center, weather permitting. The Tribe hosts Navy on Saturday, March 9, at 3 p.m., before welcoming CAA foe Drexel to Williamsburg on Sunday, March 10, at 11 a.m.
