W&M’s Malachi Imoh Earns VaSID Football All-State Honors

WILLIAMSBURG — After a posting a tremendous start to his collegiate career this spring, William & Mary freshman running back Malachi Imoh earned second-team all-state honors by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).

In addition to leading W&M with 148 rushing yards on 16 carries (9.2 yards per carry), Imoh ranked sixth in the Colonial Athletic Association with 74.0 rushing yards per game. Additionally, he ranked tied for sixth in rushing touchdowns (3) and seventh in all-purpose yards per game (85.0).

Imoh’s best performance came in the win against Elon when he rushed for 137 yards on just 10 carries with three touchdowns. The outstanding effort helped him garner CAA Rookie of the Week distinction as well as honorable mention STATS National Rookie of the Week accolades.

In addition to his on-field recognition, Imoh also excelled in the classroom and earned a spot on the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
