Boys’ soccer: York edges Jamestown

A second-half goal by Cameron Dunbar helped York finish its regular season today with a 1-0 victory against Jamestown.

After a scoreless first half, Max Poelker delivered a well-placed cross to Dunbar, who beat the keeper for the game’s lone goal.

With the victory, York (13-2-1) ends its regular season on a three-game win streak heading into the Conference 27 tournament.

Conversely, Jamestown (4-7-1) has lost three consecutive games and will try to end its regular season on a high note with a road game Wednesday against Lafayette.

Warhill coasts past Bruton

Warhill finished its regular season today with a comfortable 4-1 win home win over Bruton.

The win for the Lions marks their third in Bay Rivers District play this season.

Warhill (7-5-2) now turns its attention to the upcoming Conference 25 tournament.

Bruton (8-6) will travel to play Tabb on Thursday in its Bay Rivers District regular-season finale.
