Youth soccer players in the Historic Triangle will soon have the opportunity to participate in tryouts for the upcoming Virginia Legacy Soccer Club travel season.
Tryouts for Virginia Legacy’s travel soccer teams will be held for boys and girls born between 1998 and 2007. Because of new mandates from U.S. Soccer, 2016 will mark the first time teams will be assembled based on birth year registration.
Virginia Legacy’s tryouts will run from April 29 to May 5 at six different locations including Warhill Sports Complex, Tabb Middle School, James City County Recreation Center, Crittenden Middle School, Poquoson Middle School and Lee Hall Elementary.
Any players interested in trying out for the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club must preregister by clicking here. There is no cost to register or attend tryouts. For exact dates and times of tryouts broken down by age group, click here.
Virginia Legacy recommends players attend as many 90-minute tryouts as possible to improve chances of being selected for a team. Players participating in tryouts should bring shin guards, socks, a ball, a white shirt and water.
It is recommended players arrive 30 minutes prior to the tryout time to check in, receive a tryout number and warm up.
