The Bruton golf team lost a head-to-head road match against King William by seven strokes Monday at Queenfield Golf Club in Manquin.
King William finished the nine-hole round with a team score of 182, which edged out Bruton’s combined score of 189.
Sam Carr carded the best round of the day by shooting a 42, which is a season-best nine-hole score for the junior.
The Panthers will continue their season as they play in the third Bay Rivers District golf match at Colonial Heritage Golf Club on Thursday.
Individual scores for this match have not yet been reported.
