Boys Basketball Roundup: Grafton Pulls Away in Second Half to Beat Smithfield, Remain Unbeaten

grafton logoCle’von Greene, Evan Sperling and Isaiah Moore filled up the stat sheet for Grafton as the Clippers defeated Smithfield 53-43 on the road Friday.

Greene racked up 21 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while Sperling provided a 17-point, 16-rebound double-double for the Clippers, who outscored the host Packers by 10 points during the final two quarters after entering halftime tied 29-29.

Moore added 15 points and eight rebounds for Grafton, which improved to 4-0 on the season with the victory.

Bruton Beats York on the Road

Jalen Carr scored 15 points and Donovan Adkins added 12 as Bruton pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat host York 53-43 on Friday.

It was a three-point game entering the fourth quarter, when the Panthers outscored the Falcons 18-11.

Derrick Johnson netted 15 points and Eric Harp finished with 12 for York.
