STATEWIDE — The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has lifted its COVID-19 protocols that restrict walk-in customers at the department’s offices and other public-facing facilities.

In accordance with federal, state and local health guidance, individuals who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear face masks while inside VDOT offices and facilities.

According to a June 16 news release from VDOT, face masks are still recommended for people who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The agency continues to monitor COVID-19 data and make adjustments to protect the safety of employees as well as the communities in which they work.
