STATEWIDE — On Wednesday, June 23, Preservation Virginia will be holding a special Double Your Donation Day fundraiser.
For the event, any donation that is made over the phone, online, or by mail will be doubled by the match up to $8,500. Gifts will help pay for new projects to include:
- Replacing the roof at Patrick Henry’s Scotchtown and painting the exterior of its building
- Continuing outreach and advocacy on behalf of this year’s Virginia’s Most Endangered Historic Places
- Producing webinars and online programs as well as in-person events as they are allowed to be resumed
- Offering virtual learning as well as field trip opportunities for schools
Additionally, any donation over $60 comes with a one-year membership to Preservation Virginia. This membership includes free or discount admissions to the six historic sites that the organization stewards.
Because Preservation Virginia is not a state agency, it relies on donations in order to accomplish its goals and maintain its programs.
