Sgt. Maj. Change of Responsibility and Retirement Ceremony

FORT EUSTIS — On Thursday, May 13, the Future and Concepts Center (FCC) at Fort Eustis will hold a Command Sergeant Major Change of Responsibility and Retirement Ceremony.

Command Sgt. Maj. Robin M. Bolmer, a native of Ashburg, Ga., is scheduled to take over as the Command Sergeant Major and Senior Enlisted Advisor for the FCC, Army Futures Command from Command Sergeant Major Paul E. Biggs.

Command Sgt. Maj. Bolmer is rotating to FCC from Joint Base Lewis-McCord (Wash.) where he served as the U.S. Army’s 7th Infantry Division Command Sergeant Major and Senior Enlisted Advisor. He was also responsible for sustaining command readiness of two Stryker brigade combat teams, a combat aviation brigade, a division artillery headquarters, and a national guard Stryker brigade combat team.

Command Sgt. Maj. Biggs is scheduled to retire after 33 years of service in the U.S. Army. He has held the position of Command Sgt. Maj. and Senior Enlisted Advisor for FCC since July 2018. During his time with FCC, Command Sgt. Maj. Biggs lead several initiatives that aided in ensuring modernization of the U.S. Army’s modernization of concepts from tactical to strategic while also providing advice to Army leadership.

Army Futures Command at Fort Eustis released a statement, thanking Command Sgt. Maj. Biggs and his wife, Tenley, for their service to country and for best wishes in the next chapter of their lives.

The ceremony will be held at the Fort Eustis Club. FCC will broadcast it live on Defense Visual Information Distribution System (DVIDS) and on the FCC Facebook page.
