Local nonprofit needs clothes for vets. Here’s how you can help

NEWPORT NEWS — LINK of Hampton Roads wants people to “adopt” their veterans for Christmas.

Everyone is encouraged to sponsor a veteran by donating clothes and other items.

According to LINK’s email, there are 13 veterans in the nonprofit’s housing program for veterans and six veterans still need to be “adopted.”

See the veterans’ measurements below:

  • Vet 6: M shirt, pants 30×30, shoe 9.5, coat L
  • Vet 7: XL shirt, pants 46×36, shoe 12.5, coat 1X
  • Vet 8: L shirt, pants 34×30, shoe 10.5, coat XL
  • Vet 9: XL shirt, pants 32×34, shoe 9.5, coat XL
  • Vet 12: L shirt, pants 32X30, shoe 9, coat L
  • Vet 13: L shirt, pants 40×29, shoe 8.5, coat XL
