NEWPORT NEWS — The Peninsula Fine Arts Center is hosting an art therapy class for veterans on Thursday.
The class is free, pre-registration is encouraged.
According to the museum’s website, this class is part of the museum’s Healing Arts program with Eastern Virginia Medical School, which helps veterans deal with mental health issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder, using art therapy techniques.
The Veterans Open Studio event is at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center, 101 Museum Drive on Thursday, Dec. 20 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
