Museum volunteer will talk about growing up in Fort Monroe at this free lecture

HAMPTON — City resident Ron Ponzar will talk about living in Fort Monroe during the 1950’s and other life experiences at the Hampton History Museum lecture Wednesday.

The lecture is free and open to the public.

According to the city’s announcement, Ponzar has spent the last 10 years volunteering at the museum and previously worked for Virginia Department of Health as an environmental health specialist before retiring in 2006.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lunch, and dessert will be provided.

The Growing Up on Fort Monroe lecture is at the Hampton History Museum, 120 Old Hampton Lane on Wednesday, Dec. 19 from noon to 1 p.m.
