Sentara hosts free opioid awareness event

HAMPTON — Sentara Careplex Hospital is hosting an event for kids and adults about the opioid epidemic on Friday.

This event is open to the public and includes a light breakfast.

Kelly McCarthy, brand engagement consultant for Sentara, said the event is part of a quarterly series of community discussions with different topics and field experts.

A Community Response to the Opioids Epidemic is at the Sentara Careplex Hospital Conference Rooms B and C, 3000 Coliseum Drive on Friday from 8 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
