HAMPTON — The Hampton History Museum is collecting cardboard boxes for the city’s annual Build the City event at the Hampton Roads Convention Center next month.
Gently used, clean cardboard boxes of all sizes are accepted until Jan. 19.
According to the city’s announcement, the donated cardboard boxes as well as other items like paper towel rolls, toothpaste boxes and egg cartons, will be used to create a large model of Downtown Hampton.
Drop off the cardboard boxes and other materials at two locations below:
- Hampton History Museum, 120 Old Hampton Lane – Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. / Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Air Power Park, 413 W. Mercury Blvd. from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
