This museum wants cardboard boxes to build a model of downtown Hampton

HAMPTON — The Hampton History Museum is collecting cardboard boxes for the city’s annual Build the City event at the Hampton Roads Convention Center next month.

Gently used, clean cardboard boxes of all sizes are accepted until Jan. 19.

According to the city’s announcement, the donated cardboard boxes as well as other items like paper towel rolls, toothpaste boxes and egg cartons, will be used to create a large model of Downtown Hampton.
